According to the FDA website, in 2019 Keurig Dr Pepper company voluntarily withdrew Peñafiel unflavored mineral spring water products from the markets, due to the presence of high levels of arsenic. Long-term exposure to arsenic from drinking-water can cause darker skin, abdominal pain, diarrhea, heart disease, numbness, and cancer.  According to the source, Keurig Dr Pepper has installed enhanced filtration systems at its facilities that produce Peñafiel, and the product now being produced is well within regulatory guidelines.
